Biography

Andrés Gusó

Andrés Gusó is a self-taught painter who works mainly with acrylic on canvas, although he also explores Canson paper and board.

Her technique revolves around abstract expressionism and landscape abstraction, prioritizing colour over form and letting the brush flow unhindered.

In his works, he conveys a sense of freedom, spontaneity and harmony, inviting the viewer to surrender to the pure emotions of colour.

Although his works have been exhibited in various exhibitions in both Spain and the USA, since the rise of the internet his works, as well as commissions, have been sold through this medium, meaning he hasn't exhibited for a long time.

He abandoned oil painting several years ago to concentrate on acrylics, a much more versatile medium, quick-drying and therefore ideal for the type of result he seeks: a more spontaneous execution that is driven by the theme and colour combination.

In this last image, the painter is finishing the work. Urbania. This work shows his abstract expressionist side, where forms create an architecture that resembles the urban landscape of any present-day city. The warm orange colour used in the background contrasts with the cool tones of the buildings, creating a composition rich in nuances and textures.
